CAREER SERVICES PORTFOLIO CONNECT immediately begins to work for your Career Services department by allowing your students/grads to build their self managed portfolios and having them served directly into a career services site developed specifically for your departmental, and prospective employer needs.
Both a corporate and campus level site are included:
The corporate site allows those large employers interested in filling positions across multiple markets to search across all, or any combination of, campus location, area of study, most recently updated, and those with resumes - then contact career services directly for follow-up.
A campus level site is also included for each campus at your school. The site and the portfolios served on it are specific to the campus and allow the employer to register to post and manage their job postings to individuals, concentrate on an area of study, or the entire student body. They can also register for portfolio review events, ask the students questions, and so much more.
This tool is all a Career Services team ever needs to manage the student/employer relationship and increase placement rate.
You have full control of how much access you want and which students/graduates you want to give access to, which also gives you control of your budget. Perhaps you want access for the entire graduating class, the top 500 students, or a couple of specific programs – you determine the level of access you want. Included is a free email inviting the students/graduates to build their portfolio which supplies them with their user name and password. In addition, the more access you purchase, the lower the cost per access goes.
What happens the next year?
*After your initial 12 month contract expires, you choose if you wish for those students who have built portfolios to:
A. Continue to appear on your career services site****
B. Be deleted entirely from your site C. Be closed and moved to a site where they are no longer the responsibility of the Career Services Department.**
What happens to the students I want to close out? How do the students/graduates benefit?
What if I want to keep some portfolios on my site and my new billing year starts?
****Any remaining portfolios left on your site at the beginning of your next 12 month contract will become part of the access billing for the new year. Want more access? Simply go up to the next access level – the higher you go, the lower your per access fee becomes. Remember, you can move or delete any student/graduate portfolios you wish before your new billing year starts.
